On 17th March 1853, Christian Andreas Doppler died at the age of 49 in the presence of his wife Mathilde in his apartment in Riva degli Schiavoni no. 4133.<\/p>\n
A memorial monument is dedicated to him at the San Michele cemetery.<\/p>\n
