D\u00edky Dopplerovu jevu je krom\u011b toho mo\u017en\u00e9 zachytit i rychlost letadla, co\u017e z\u00e1rove\u0148 napom\u00e1h\u00e1 tomu, \u017ee se nezobrazuj\u00ed nepohybliv\u00e9 objekty, jako jsou budovy nebo kopce (upozad\u011bn\u00ed pevn\u00fdch c\u00edl\u016f).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>U panoramatick\u00fdch radiolok\u00e1tor\u016f se vys\u00edlaj\u00ed nap\u0159. vlny tis\u00edckr\u00e1t za vte\u0159inu, p\u0159i\u010dem\u017e jeden impulz o vlnov\u00e9 d\u00e9lce v&nbsp;rozsahu n\u011bkolika centimetr\u016f trv\u00e1 jednu mikrosekundu. Podle jasu se odhaduje vzd\u00e1lenost a spole\u010dn\u011b se sm\u011brem pohybu lodi je mo\u017en\u00e9 ur\u010dit jej\u00ed kurz. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dopplerovsk\u00fd syst\u00e9m VOR vys\u00edl\u00e1 sign\u00e1l rotuj\u00edc\u00ed sm\u011brov\u00e9 ant\u00e9ny s&nbsp;vyu\u017eit\u00edm frekven\u010dn\u00edho p\u00e1sma nad 100 MHz a d\u00e1le konstantn\u00ed sign\u00e1l p\u0159i pr\u016fchodu severn\u00edm sm\u011brem. T\u00edmto zp\u016fsobem se p\u0159esn\u011b ur\u010d\u00ed sm\u011br v\u016f\u010di ur\u010dit\u00e9mu radiomaj\u00e1ku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Krom\u011b toho vys\u00edl\u00e1 letadlo sign\u00e1l, na kter\u00fd odpov\u00edd\u00e1 pozemsk\u00e1 stanice. Z&nbsp;d\u00e9lky trv\u00e1n\u00ed a\u017e k&nbsp;odezv\u011b se ur\u010duje vzd\u00e1lenost a na z\u00e1klad\u011b zm\u011bny kmito\u010dtu se pomoc\u00ed Dopplerova jevu vypo\u010d\u00edt\u00e1 rychlost (syst\u00e9m DME).
